Tektronix Communications will move its headquarters and about 475 employees from Richardson to Plano, where the communications software engineering firm has purchased a building along the President George Bush Tollway.
Tektronix bought the Wilcox Building | 190 at 3033 State Highway 190, a three-story, 185,000-square-foot commercial office building, after considering lease and purchase possibilities in Plano, Richardson and North Dallas, said Dave Naemura, the company’s chief financial officer.
Naemura said being near the technology-savvy workbase in Plano and Richardson was the most important factor in the selection of the new building.
“The facility we found in Plano culturally fit what we were trying to accomplish,” Naemura said.
Tektronix develops, markets and makes diagnostics and management equipment for mobile and fixed telecommunications networks. The company partners with mobile network operators and equipment manufacturers to monitor, test and control communications networks. (11/20/09) learn more
