Texas ranked eighth most sustainable state in the July issue of Site Selection magazine. California ranked number one followed by Washington, Oregon, Minnesota, Colorado, New York, Vermont, Texas, Massachusetts and New Mexico.
Factors used to compile the rankings included the number of renewable energy manufacturing and supply chain facilities, LEED certified projects in each state, renewable energy generation per capita, green incentives and alternative-fuel vehicles in use.
