Research Technology Crossroads
The RT is perfectly suited for technology companies.
Research/Technology Crossroads (RT) is a technology/light industrial park in southeast Plano. The RT is designed for the needs of technology companies in telecom, electronics, light manufacturing, information technology, logistics, and emerging industries such as RFID and nanotech.
The 1,100-acre park’s strengths are it's proximity to technology companies, technical workers and transportation access. The RT is within 10 minutes of the Telecom Corridor®, Texas Instruments' semiconductor plant and the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). It is surrounded by the greatest concentration of high-tech talent in the DFW area.
Employers in the park benefit from nearby universities. The University of Texas at Dallas, with over 14,000 students, offers graduate and Ph.D. programs. Collin College provides two-year programs and workforce training. Notable companies in the RT district area include: Raytheon, Flextronics, XO Communications, Lineage Power, Adams Golf and Samsung Telecom.
The Research/Technology Crossroads is served by SH 190 (President Bush Turnpike) and US 75 (Central Expressway). Light rail is also available just west of the RT. Plans are to extend the rail line eastward on the northern boundary of the district. The park is 30 minutes from DFW International and Love Field airports.
