Economic Development Grants

In 2006, Plano City Council approved a property tax increase of two-cents per $100 valuation to be dedicated to an economic development incentive fund. Chapter 380 of the Local Government Code allows municipalities to provide incentives for economic development.

Plano's “Chapter 380” grants focus on stimulating employment and wages and have resulted in creating and/or retaining over 22,000 jobs and $1.2 billion in property improvements since October of 2006. (05/14)
