City of Plano Offices

The City of Plano has a record of providing high quality services to its citizens while demonstrating strong ethics and financial discipline.  The City of Plano, located at 1520 Avenue K, employs a combined full time and part-time staff of more than 2,600. The public safety department is comprised of over 500 professional police officers and civilians and an authorized staff of over 300 professional firefighters, each also trained as an emergency medical technician or paramedic.

Collin County Offices

Located in Plano, the Collin County Sub-Courthouse at 900 East Park Boulevard houses the offices of the County Clerk, District Clerk, Veterans Services, Constables and five Justices of the Peace.  Collin County's main offices are located in McKinney, Texas, approximately 17 miles from Plano's Municipal Center.

Federal Offices

The Federal Government maintains a presence in Plano at the newly constructed 34,310-square-foot U.S. District Court building. The District Court assists the Eastern District Court in Sherman, Texas with matters of federal jurisdiction. 


 

Plano’s City Council named 2007 City Council of the Year

Texas City Management Association recognized the Plano City Council for several key achievements, including a strong Code of Ethics and a strong fiscal policy. Plano consistently receives AAA Bond Rating from Moody’s, Standard & Poors, and FITCH’s IBCA, Duff and Phelps.
