UTD’s Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship promotes cross-disciplinary academic and outreach programs across the university, including cross-listed courses, joint degree programs and broad-based community outreach initiatives involving each of the seven schools of the university. The Institute’s initiatives include: entrepreneurship courses and student programs, the Commercialization & Entrepreneurship Boot Camp, venture development program, community outreach and research.
The Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship is part of Southern Methodist University's (SMU) Cox Business School. The Institute offers education, training and networking events.
The Southwest Venture Forum is a non-profit forum operated by the Caruth Institute where entrepreneurs can meet with venture capital sources and other professionals. The forum is a bimonthly breakfast meeting where entrepreneurs looking to start or expand their businesses meet with venture investors and the professional community to solicit financing and obtain advice.
