Dallas-based Cawley Partners, in a joint venture with Pacific Coast Capital Partners, is getting ready to break ground on Alcatel-Lucent's new regional headquarters in Plano, which will consolidate the company's operations in North Texas.
The four-story, 250,000-square-foot headquarters will get underway on an 18-acre parcel near Independence Parkway and Lotus Drive in Plano. The project is Cawley Partners fourth development to get underway in North Texas.
"We are excited to be partnering with such a great leader in the telecommunications industry," Cawley said, in a written statement. "This project gives us the opportunity to creatively design and build a cutting edge, consolidated, regional HQ for Alcatel-Lucent."
Cawley also has underway the developer's Legacy Center office building, the Tollway Center building for Behringer's new Addison headquarters and a 60,000-square-foot build-to-suit building for the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Bank of the Ozarks is providing construction financing for the new headquarters building. Morrison Dillworth + Walls is the project architect. Hill & Wilkinson is the general contractor.
Construction is slated for completion in the third quarter of 2016. The new building will include a rooftop terrace for employees, state-of-the-art labs and creative work areas for Alcatel-Lucent's employees.
